Maybe someone can find and post it here, but my daughter texted me a grainy screenshot of the top 20 or 25 times of all time in the 1500 Freestyle and a certain Ms. Ledecky has nearly every one of them Ms. Ladecky's 1500 2 days ago established a new world record and 2d place was a very distance second (23rd I believe fastest time). Ladecky has the 15 or 16 fastest times. She is an amazing machine. Basketball: are we playing today? Next game is Sunday at 11:15 EDST. I have no idea what time that is in Montana, or even if they have watches there. www.usab.com/teams/5x5-womens-olympics/schedules

I noticed that we only beat Belgium in the quals on Feb. 8 by 2. And back they they had their point guard.

Solid win for the USA. Stewie and A'ja once again the top dogs, and Pheese had probably her best game yet. Going forward, if she continues to acclimate to international play and recover from a minor injury, she'll make a huge impact.
Next game is against Nigeria on Wednesday at 3:30 EST.

I don't follow 3X3. You'd think they could replace Brink with someone pretty qualified.

I don't follow 3X3. You'd think they could replace Brink with someone pretty qualified. Yeah, but there are rules about who can play that include having participated in recent 3x3 events. So, players like Steph Dolson ... who was extremely talented at 3x3 on the world stage a few years back ... and many others were not eligible. The US should host a 3x3 tournament every year and enter a few teams, just so they'll have players available in such cases. That'd also elevate the attention for that game and make it less of a consolation prize to represent the country in that event. In any event, HVL was their top player, followed by Dearica Hamby (who was the fill-in). Rhyne Howard is a bigger name and better than either in 5v5, but doesn't seem to me to be well suited to 3x3. Cierra Burdick wasn't terrible, but we all know that she hasn't set the basketball universe ablaze. Resume needs: 1. High degree of non-stop hustle 2. Excellent passing 3. Can create a shot when needed (12 second clock) 4. High floor on both Offense and Defense Stewie, Aja, AT ... sure, they'd all be phenomenal. But they're not giving up 5v5.

From the few details I've seen, that league will be 3v3, but using a "smaller full court" format.

Catching a few minutes of our game. The team looks completely unbeatable. The big difference is 2 things: 1. Pheesa playing herself into completely top shape. She's playing fantastic! 2. Hate to say it, but replacing D with Jackie Young. Young just supplies a lot more speed and energy, and that's what they needed. Reeve has really brought them along, game-by-game, starting with top defense (A'ja and Stewie are pretty much impenetrable in the paint) and now the offense is clicking. www.espn.com/womens-olympics-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401694855

What a track meet (with only 1 team running!). It's so one-sided that at the time out midway through the 4th, A'ja, already sitting on the bench, had to cover her mouth so she wouldn't be seen as laughing. Even though Australia went on a mini-run with the American stars sitting, this is a complete destruction of a very good team by a phenomenal team. Reeve has really brought them along.... http://instagram.com/p/C-dRFDNO1t-

You should be excommunicated!! Just kidding. Some fans aren't and it is pathetic. Goat or not, you go out on the hardwood your game is going to get a critical look see.

D started the first couple of games and wasn't very productive, but she was a coach on the court. Maybe (maybe!) Reeve had a plan all along: First: Make sure that Stewie and A'ja could play well together. Second: have the team defense tighten up Third: get Pheesa involved more on offense Fourth: replace D with Young now that they no longer need the "coach on the court." Anyway, that's the chronology of the evolving team, so maybe it was just what happened rather than a master plan.

Wow! That was a classic! Fantastic game, and Gabby was the best player on the court. France doesn't win, doesn't even come close, without her amazing athletic skills. She was great all game but really shone in OT, scoring 9 points. www.espn.com.au/womens-olympics-basketball/boxscore/_/gameId/401694856France v. USA for the gold on Sunday. Husky on Husky violence!!
