Ok, I couldn't see the tweet, so went out searching. DT and Stewie made the 5 on 5 teaM (no Pheesa?) So I assumed we'd have Stef Dolson leading the 3 on 3. Nope. Were you counting Coach Rizotti as the 3rd? She is coaching 3 on 3.

The bottom line is that the outcome is as predictable as the winner of the 2025 Big East regular season title. Despite an increase in the non-US born talent in the college game today it's still going to be a while before one country finds 8-10 players that can match the US. The only other way the US could screw it up is to hire J. P. McCallie.

I, too, also saw articles specifically saying Pheesa was on the team, from the AP among others. Maybe she declined? Because the articles I saw maybe didn't mention Young?

Is there a difference between training camp roster and the full roster? I noticed the one that doesn't list Pheesa was from April. It is now June. I suspect the June announcements are correct.

Actually, they haven't "officially" announced the roster. The linked roster from USA basketball was the group that practiced during the final four. Once official, I'm sure it will be correct. And by the way, I thought the selection committee was impressive. Saw them listed in an article, not sure where. |

I can't remember who was originally there in her stead. There is an option at the top of the page to select the team you want to see. The current default is the Olympic Team. You can select past teams as far back as 2016, including the April Camp Squad. The Olympic Team was just added today. here were numerous differences from the previous April default roster, for example, Boston and Atkins and Austin were among the first four alphabetic in April that are not on the final squad, neither Pheesa nor Rutgers own Kahleah Copper were on the April squad. And others. |
