20-19. Creighton defeats Seton Hall and advances to the semifinals. It was basically the Lauren Jensen show for Creighton. Really hard fought win.

Villanova defeats Maryland 21-20 and will face Creighton in the semifinals.

Ole Miss in big trouble with foul trouble right now. Special rule in 3x3. Once a team has 7 fouls, the other team is in the bonus. The bonus = 2 free throws (which are the equivalent of a 3 pointer in 3x3.) So, you can see how it is worth more than it is in regular basketball.

18-17 Oklahoma defeats Ole Miss. Ole Miss had a free throw to tie it but were not able to convert.

20-16. Duke defeats Gonzaga. Ejim was the best player at the event before this game. Brown at Duke is like 6'5" and she bothered her immensely. Semifinals are set. Creighton vs Villanova Oklahoma vs Duke I would say Duke should be favored going into this final four.
Edit: Also, there are a lot of KK Arnold commercials on this USA basketball channel. lmao. I guess she has played with USA basketball a lot and has been mic'd up.

21-18. Creighton with the win. Maly hits the game winner.
Creighton advances to the final.
Creighton will need more from Ronsiek to win this imo.

21-19. Duke defeats Oklahoma to advance to the final. Oklahoma did not have a sub in this game. And that is a pretty big disadvantage in my opinion. They looked exhausted at the end.

Should be a good finals game and Duke will be well-prepared. Kara Lawson was the coach of the US Olympic Team which won the gold in the inaugural 3X3 competition. Funny how Duke played so well and Tennessee sucked? A prelude to the upcoming Lady Vol season.

The women's event was more star studded with tons of college players we have heard of. And it was a way better event than the men's event.

How are the teams chosen?

I have no idea how the schools got chosen for the event. And I have no idea how the players were chosen. I assume it was a voluntary thing. But I do not know for sure.

Interestingly, there was some school that decided to play and had to cancel. So, the tournament was down one team.

Interestingly, there was some school that decided to play and had to cancel. So, the tournament was down one team. The announcers did address that, but they did not name the school. They said that one or more players on that school's team jumped into the transfer portal? It was Mississippi State and they dropped out.

One of the posts that cracked me up was:
> That Utah Gonzaga game set womens basketball back 40 years. Utah….. embarrassing
Yes, the same Utah team the turned around and beat Tennessee in the next game

Another fine post:
> Best game of the day against the best team.
This is talking about Tennessee's loss to Gonzaga, consoling themselves that they lost the best team. Except that… Gonzaga didn't win the whole thing… nor did they come in second… In fact they didn't even make the semis

My vote for best post of the day: > The 0-3 result MAY actually turn out to be more beneficial, overall, than a 3-0 result might have been.

I like that she admitted that beating two big east teams in the tournament added to the experience lol.
