2023 USA Basketball 3X3 Nationals Will Feature

Tennessee just lost their 2nd game of the day to Utah 20-15. Pitchforks will be raised....

Hey, where did my post go?? Guess I didn't hit the button. Just a little reveling in Tenn going down for the 3rd time today. Never have been able to get into 3X3, but I can see its appeal for spectators and players alike.

Yes, in 3X3 basketball, the team needs to be quick with the much shorter shot clock and other rules. Tennessee played typical Tn basketball with lack of teamwork and not good 3 point (worth 2 points in 3X3) shooting. If you have bigs on the team, they must be bigs who can both think and move quickly. 

Coach Kellie Harper's husband was in the stands watching the both losses today...... ......excellent job, coach.......

Villanova beats Colorado College 21-6. Last match of the session. The men are next.

Big East has done well so far.

Creighton 1-1
St. John's 1-1

I have not watched Pili a lot. And she is talented offensively. But she was pretty lazy defensively here. Waving at offensive players. Making no effort to get out on shooters. I hope she doesn’t do that in 5x5.

 I get that these kids get some exposure. It's great for them. But to think that a few 3-3 games will get these physically slow players will all of a sudden become faster with more agility and quicks is pretty much dreaming.

I've seen enough of Darby and Striplin to know that they are who they are and playing in this tournament is not going make them faster, quicker or more agile.

I do agree that having Jackson on the team would have helped. It's not the best players on their roster. However, it's players that will get plenty of playing time. That doesn't bode well for Tennessee next season.   

Lady Vols are 0-3 as Gonzaga wins a close game.

That's how low the bar has been set by Lady Vol fans..... .....0 wins and 3 losses is progress for them...... ......you gotta get up really early in the morning to out-stupid their fans? 

no, Creighton went 2-1. They lost to Gonzaga.

But more importantly, they advanced to the next round.

I wonder what Dawn's semifinal banner would look like?? Yeah, my bad.
