Any chance Collier, Boston or Cardoso hit the portal? Serious about Cardoso... Collier's going pro. No chance at all that Boston moves: do you sense she's unhappy? She looks completely sold on Dawn to me. I'm sure there'd be lots of interest in Cardoso all over the country, but why would she have waited to hit the portal when most of her teammates already did?

Highly ... extremely ... unlikely for each of the above. 1. Collier - She has already announced she is going pro. If she's the projected #1 overall, why would she wait? ... that would probably not be the case next year 2. Boston - Why would she leave SCar? She loves Dawn, and is put in a position to compete for NPOY and be the "Center" (pun intended) of that team. Has good talent around her, but nobody is threatening her for dominance. Dawn developed Wilson, who has been nothing short of great in the W 3. Cardoso - Agree with Bulkey. If she were leaving, it seems that would already have happened. I'm not a big Q fan, but I think most of his players love him - cough - a thousand players hitting the portal all at once notwithstanding. The decision to leave has to be made before knowing what other schools might be interested. So, drop your classes, leave your friends, and have no certainty where else you might end up ... There are only a handful of places that would be a significant improvement for her From the UCONN perspective, Charlie is not an upgrade - slightly better offense, worse defense, foul troubles, accusations of shrinking from the best competition. Aliyah Boston is not an option. Camilla might be an interesting consideration, but what would that do to Aaliyah Edwards' development? UCONN would be a lot less capable of an up tempo game, as she couldn't keep up with either ONO or Edwards. She is, however, one of the only players in WCBB that would let Liv and Aaliyah each play their natural position at the four. Today, they have to share the 4/5 roles, and each gets forced exclusively to Center when Aubrey is on the court

Yeah, we haven't had a true center in a very long time.

I saw little of Boston this past year, but would have been shocked had she won POY. Saw her in a whole game against UConn. What I saw: Centers aren't whippets but should play both ends of the floor and at times she didn't. A true Big should knock the short stuff down with regularity and SC would have won in regulation if Boston had. Questionable judgment: the step back 3 brick in overtime. Seems to me she put on the wrong kind of weight and that contributed to her huffing and puffing and not getting down the court.

She missed the easy and winning tap in at the end of the Stanford game, too. She's certainly got a lot of talent, but I agree with you, Rocky. She is hard pressed to play hard at both ends for stretches. Had she gone to UConn (which, admittedly, we all had hoped for), the offense would look very, very different, and I'm not sure we would have liked it as much.
