Great report, DD. and it was an important point that Anna may have been playing injured for some time now. That would explain her declining play.

I keep hearing about how Bueckers is leading the team in scoring, assists and steals but no one ever mentions that she is 2nd in rebounds.

Actually I was referring to her coach and the entire media. It's like a memo was sent out to ESPN et al that you mention that she leads the team in scoring, assists and steals. It always ends there. I think that the only pgs I can recall being that good at rebounding were Magic & Ionescu. This is the same media that was saying in the summer how Bueckers needs to get stronger to survive as a pg.
Bueckers had 8 rebounds against Tenn. Ya know, the Tenn that is really really really big (according to Geno). Williams and Westbrook combined for 8. I have watched Bueckers box out big posts. Someone taught her well. She first makes sure she keeps posts off the offensive boards by leaning back into them and then she is just quicker to the ball. Bueckers can elevate pretty well. Given the obvious improvements she has made to her defensive play she has all the tools now. Part of me is thinking that Geno is playing possum with all his negativism. I never completely buy his "woe is us" descriptions of his team.
