Here in SW Montana it has been a light snow year - been in the 60s for the last 3 days, but today it is suppose to be raining and if you are 10-12000 feet up it may be wet. The rivers will be low and the hills will be burning this summer. Hoped for better. Still, better off than California.

Rocky - could you please send some of that 60 degree weather way out to CT? We will happily send you some snow pack in return. Might work out for all of us!

I would love to have some of that snow pack down here in NC. Its supposed to be upper 70s the next two days, and looks like I will have to get out the lawn mower for the first time since October

See, the old saw is right.... it is always greener on the other side of the ...... AF

I lived in Florida for four years, Georgia for four years, and Alabama for two years. Now... it gets down below zero a little too often. Seriously, last summer, I spent half the time in winter fleece because we couldn't get above 50. It was horrible. I have a crap thyroid, though, so hotter weather suits me better.

No thyroid problems for me, but I love warm weather much better than cold. For me it helps the knees and joints. And I ain't even that old. So far we've only had a couple days around 50. Nothing close to 60 yet. First day of spring today and we're supposed to get snow. UGH!!!

I talked to my family last weekend in Omaha. They had temps in the mid 60's and were looking at 70 in the next couple days at that time. It ain't fair, I tell ya! It ain't fair! But no one ever said life was fair.

Mini chick wants to go for a walk but at 50*, it's just too danged cold for me to venture outside. I can't even will myself to go to the street to bring back the garbage and recycling buckets.

Yea, it's snowing outside right now. Luckily not really sticking much, on the roads anyway. Told my boss it's a blizzard and I need to leave work early.

the weather in the north east has taken a lot out of folks and budgets and roadways. Last night I was a passenger in a car driving north on the FDR and hit a pot hole about the size of Connecticut. the visible damage was two flats on the passenger size. I ended up taking a taxi home after standing in the snow for a bit, but the final outcome of the overall health of this 2014 Lexus will be determined at the garage. It was a hell of a wreck, quite a jolt. I am hoping for the best for my friend's car, but egads.....

Bummer, Rady. I trust everyone is okay, other than a bit shaken up?

Bummer, Rady. I trust everyone is okay, other than a bit shaken up? yeah...more startled than anything else. I'll say this for the Lexus. The last time I blew a front tire, getting that car (a VW) to the side of the road was akin to wrestling with a 8 foot bear. The Lexus despite losing the front and rear tires on the passenger side showed little difficulty in handling as we got ourselves to the nearest exit and off the busy highway. Other than some negligible bumpiness, it road very well. the initial hit though was abrupt and LOUD

Before it got cold again, I took this picture... It'll be July before it melts. I think it will be September before ours melts. I have had enough of snow. My crocuses have croaked. Maybe there will be a daffodil or two brave enough to show their heads. I doubt it.

I haven't seen a hint of a crocus, or a bud, or any other sign of spring than a confused looking robin. Mother Nature is in a very cranky mood in CT.

I must say...I am very much in the minority I know, but I like winter and snow. I enjoy all of the seasons actually, and not one more than the other...well here in NYC one could say that I view summer less favorable than the others, but that's in the city. Every where else....it's perfectly fine
