If you have an Arby's in your city... I'd suggest going there and picking up their new Smokehouse Pork Belly Sandwich. It will be on the menu for just a limited time. It consists of...
Crispy Onion Strings Mayonnaise Pork Belly Smoked Cheddar Cheese Smoky Q Sauce Star Cut Bun
I was rambling by the other day... decided to stop in Arby's... realized i didnt have any coupons... so I decided to try it out. It was delicious. My only complaint.. it wasnt big enough.... I probably ... well I could have eaten two of them.
They have a thing called the Smoke Mountain Sandwich... which adds Smoked Brisket and Smoked Mesquite Turkey Breast to the mix. I think ill try it next time after I lift weights... or after I go walk in the park.
If anyone dares post the nutritional content of either of the above sandwiches... prepare for a litany of dislikes to show up in your notifications.

Thanks for making me hungry, Triad!! May need to stop at Bears BBQ in Hartford for a fix of their pulled pork, mac n' cheese, corn bread with honey butter. And maybe add some brisket, or the ribs.... You have started me down a slippery slope that can only ended with lots of wet wipes for the sauce. Dinner will be a pleasant surprise for my husband. He will thank you!

Get it out now triad, 'cuz I think you have a limited, very limited time to express yourself, should your food proclivities be your real diet. And, I hasten to add, my food fantasies would have had me dead long ago. But, I sure do have a really strong vicarious pleasure in reading your food yearnings posts! BTW, as I sit on my bunss the wife is preparing shrimp and clams gumbo. I'm guilt free because I'm the sous chef in this house and she told me to chill out tonight.
PS. Or P.S. May I suggest eschewing all fast food, thereby adding 20-40 years to your life.

Great topic, and I would indulge if A. I could find an Arbys and B. I didn't agree with Rocky and ignore all the warnings of fast food. However to each his own (in all seriousness, I would try the sandwich at least once)

Over the course of this evening, I ate almost a whole 6.6 oz package of plain Goldfish Crackers.
I really like plain goldfish crackers. I like the Parmesan ones as well. I'll eat those tomorrow night

Making one of my famous made up on the fly crock pot meals today; mostly I have hits but when I miss, I really miss. Braised skinless chicken thighs, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, couple of small sliced onions, veg broth, Italian Seasoning, some apple cider vinegar, some raisins, lots of crudely diced home grown tomatoes, layering and let it do it's thing. Serve with/on organic wild rice medley.

Hardees has a new burger coming out. I'll review it shortly. Is Wendy's still around in your area? went there last night..... they really would be better if they either steamed or toasted their buns..... it like they just take the bread out of the box/bag and put the burger/chicken on it.

One of the best things about going to Duke WCBB games.... is the after game meal at Char Grill I hadnt been since november.. so I was overdue. Went today... and I'd forgotten how expensive they were for a fast food type establishment.... got a double cheeseburger... a order of fries, and a small drink... 10 bucks. But.... went i sat down and sank my teeth into it..... it was all worth it. Definitely the best hamburger you can get at a fast food place... www.chargrillusa.com/link

Eventually triad for you there will be no burger joints left to conquer; you do realize this ... yes? What then, ribs, chilly, (tacos are beneath you) pizza I suspect already conquered? Funny you mention it..because my city was named Burger Capital of the World last year Sadly... i havent visited many of the establishments that make our city burger heaven. But I plan to rectify the situation in due time. myfox8.com/2015/09/17/greensboro-is-the-burger-capital-of-the-world-according-to-buzzfeed/That Char Grill place sounds good. Don't think there are any up here, tho. Its just a Triangle thing.... with one outpost in a suburb north of Charlotte. They opened one in the next city over from me about 6 years ago.... i ate their once... but the location wasnt in the right part of town... and it didnt make it. So basically the only time i get to go are when i go to the Duke games.... about 4-5 times a year.

So, Triad....we know you got a good meal, but how was the game? Inquiring minds would like to know. Well it was just an intersquad scrimmage.... only 10 available players so some of the men's practice squad members actually filled in during the game. After each quarter.... a few players changed jerseys so there were different lineups all four quarters. Greenwell is still a joy to watch.....and our freshman Odom.... whew....... she is probably the most athletic player ive seen in a duke jersey in a long long long time. There is an actual exhibition game vs a Division II team sunday evening... so that will give me a better idea on a few things......

Food, glorious food: Wanna make Broccoli that everyone might savor? 1/3 cup light olive oil or sim., 4 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon solt and 1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper, 2 medium cloves garlic pressed. Combine these ingredients. Stir them up and let stand 20 minutes. Floret 3 big, healthy broccoli heads and steam until al dente. Place broccoli in big tupperware container (that you can flip) or similar. Give the marinade a final vigorous stir and pour over broccoli. Let stand minimum of 1 hour, flipping at least once. It's great room temperature or cool (not cold - oil gets yucky, but some like it). Family favorite for decades. Eventually triad for you there will be no burger joints left to conquer; you do realize this ... yes? What then, ribs, chilly, (tacos are beneath you) pizza I suspect already conquered? funny you mention this about chili.... there was an article in the paper today about a local place that serves Cincinnati style chili. Its celebrating its 30th birthday this week... with a special birthday celebration this friday. its only about 3-4 minutes away... but its only open during the weekdays from 9-2pm........ never really thought much about going there. But reading the article made me curious... and the chili sounds real good... and ive never had it cincy style. Think imma check it out before the end of the year. As for taco's..... thats also on my to do list to explore further. There are a lot of mexican restaurants and food trucks in my city..... actually there is a food truck that is camped out across the street from the place where i get pizza..... i may check them out this weekend.. i assume they have tacos.

Wife's in CT. Emboldened me to eat poorly while she is gone. Today it's breaded fish filets for lunch. You know, the ones that are pretty much all bread with saturated fat and 240 calaries for a wedge the size of a lemon slice. Every once in a while gotta endulge!

Oh gosh, triad check this out: www.foxnews.com/leisure/2016/11/09/arby-venison-sandwich-is-inexplicably-popular/Myself, I may just pass. Deer, like every other ruminate know, taste like what they eat. So if they ain't carn fed and grass/clover/alfalfa eaters it ain't pretty. That iss why so much of it gets turned into highly seasoned jerky. But, since you are our Mikey (give it to Mikey, he eats everything wink, wink) I think you should go on a road trip and report back ASAP.
