Found this. Edwards and Strong will be teammates on the East squad in the 2024 McDonald’s All-American game on April 2 in Houston. There has been some speculation Strong could make her decision during the game that will be televised on ESPN. Did you mean Morgan Cheli? I think mdoggie mean Joyce Edwards (S. Carolina recruit). Her and Strong are listed on the East team.

I think Morgan has been a bit injured recently, but apparently nothing serious. She should be okay (we hope!) by April. Maybe Geno should rescind the offer? Do we really want a player with a "history" of injury coming in? (Yes, it is said with jest and just a touch of sarcasm. Relax, everyone!) Actually I thought your jestoriful sarcasmical question is a pretty good one. IMHO soon all college programs will have to take this into account.

I'm quoting a lot of Dan Connolly's Newsletter here, because he's just quoting someone else's scouting report:
ESPN’s Shane Laflin provided a scouting report on each player included.
Morgan Cheli “Cheli is a swiss-army knife type of perimeter player. Over the course of the last 18 months, she has gone from a slashing wing with a nice pull-up jumper to an all-around guard that often carries the lead guard duties for her No. 1 Archbishop Mitty squad. She has added some wiggle to her handle and dramatically improved her effectiveness from 3 with her high release shot and elevation. The 6-2 future Husky is an excellent passer, quality rebounder and very versatile on the court. She'll see some minutes at the guard and forward position at UConn when she gets to Storrs for next season.”
Allie Ziebell “Ziebell is a silent assassin. She has a tough unflappable quality about her and nothing rattles her on the floor. She is adept at getting to her spots -- whether with the ball in her hands or moving without the ball off of screens and actions -- and knocking down shots at a high percentage. Ziebell makes quick decisions with the ball and as a result is a quality facilitator for her teams. She will fit in with coach Geno Auriemma and the UConn style of play -- skilled and smart and ready to counter what the opponent throws at her.”

I know it annoys some UConn fans but Ziebell's description could be used for any of the Mabrey sisters. More like the best one which I believe was Marina. Allie is going to be a great addition to the roster.

I confess that there have been a few UConn players that I thought fit the mold of tall lanky 2/3's who were smart. I could do without the "sneaky unsportsmanship" however.

Have you watched any of Ziebell's highschool games? She is by far the best player on the team and has to shoot a ton. Are you worried she would bring that to UConn? Doubtful. She is a great kid. Not worried about her bringing the "sneaky unsportsmanship" stuff to the Huskies.

Not worried about her bringing the "sneaky unsportsmanship" stuff to the Huskies. I used that phrase to describe the tactics that a few Irish players used, not toward Ziebell. In this era, when offending anyone for any reason is out of fashion, the other phrases I would normally use if we were talking would very likely get my post deleted.

I think she said that UConn is her dream school. UConn has yet to offer.

I think she said that UConn is her dream school. UConn has yet to offer. I can't find a UConn offer (and I'm pretty such there's no public record of one), but don't you think it's weird for a high school player to post a final group that included a school that hadn't yet offered her?

Maybe she is the other recruit Geno was talking about when he said he saw two recruits on a recent recruiting trip. One being Sarah Strong and the other being Brynn McGaughy.

Ari Peterson, the daughter of the great NFL runner, Adrian, is an 8th grader with offers and is being followed by Morgan.

What impresses me most about Lara is how physically solid and yet agile she is. Her instagram "cartoon" doesn't do her physique justice.
On her instagram pic linked to her announcement, she's dribbling with her left hand, which made me think that's her natural hand. In one photo on her account, she's even palming with the left. But looking carefully at the tape, it's clear she's a righty, but very much at ease with her left as well. Impressive.

She must be the "visitor" Geno mentioned in the post game presser.
