Great report on the games. I was surprised about the UTenn game. Will help our SOS. Still amazed by the Stanford game.

Great point about Stanford's loss. In overtime, there's no "sneaking up." You know that team has tied you in regulation. That fact ought to "concentrate their mind wonderfully." But it didn't.

Bad news, working on a holiday. Good news, no, great news, breakfast with DD, David and Phil. Thanks for a great start to Monday, guys! I am lucky to work for a company that honors MLK by giving us this day as a paid company holiday. Further, they announced late last year that beginning in 2021 we will be given Juneteenth as a company holiday as well. I have not heard of any other companies giving Juneteenth as a paid day off. The bad news for me is today my husband and I have to venture out into the world to shop for a new refrigerator and gas range for our rental property. Frig is close to 30 years old. Gas range was installed in the house in... 1958! WAYYYY past time on the range. My son, our renter, is a little afraid to light the oven, which requires a match! But the frig is on the fritz and is the highest priority. I haven't been out in the world other than pharmacy and grocery stores since my summer trip to Omaha. Not going to lie...I am nervous about the exposure!

In the very few instances I've had to interact with anyone outside my bubble, I start by laughingly say, "I'm old and nuts, so I hope you don't mind me saying that I'd like us to stand several feet apart." But I'm still nervous for the next 10 days or so.....

Some may disagree, but I believe Stanford lost for 2 reasons. First, Colorado played really, really well when they had to... Second, Stanford angered the mojo basketball gods by running up the score against Utah in the prior game. In my stats piece in the above DoggyDaddy report, I detailed how Stanford was jacking up 3 point shots right up until the end of the game. Stat stuffing is bad juju and will return to bite you in the arse.
Another example of bad mojo occurred several years back when Naphessa Collier, one of my favorite Huskies, talked about not going to the White House as National Champions. The invitation never came because she never became National Champion. Talk about what you will do as National Champion AFTER you win the game. Very bad juju...

All time worst juju: Patriots trademarked 19-0 before playing the Giants in the Superbowl.....
