“We’ve been working hard to consistently shoot 3s and make them,” Williams said after UConn went 10-for-18 against Xavier. “We’ve been putting in the work, so they’re going to fall at some point.”
Realistically, this UConn team doesn’t have the DNA to be an exquisite 3-point shooting team à la the 2014-15 or 2019-20 editions. But there’s no doubt they need Williams and Makurat to be more consistent, for Bueckers to take more shots and for Westbrook to contribute regularly.
One thing’s for sure, though: With the recruits UConn is bringing in this fall — Azzi Fudd, Caroline Ducharme and Saylor Poffenbarger are great outside shooters — the Huskies’ shooting woes aren’t likely to last beyond this season."

FWIW...Williams and Makurat hit pretty regularly when they take the time to set their feet. I can watch the set up and pretty much guess if it's going to be good. It's the haste that messes the shot up.
