Well the NCAA invented the term "student-athlete". Kentucky is a feeder system into the pros and I'm happy coach Cal doesn't pretend otherwise.

How those guys stay academically eligible in 2d semester at Kentucky must be based on independent study - as in none. It's a sad mess, but then so is the obviously "too many teams" NBA.

I am not conversant enough with NCAA regs to understand anything other than if the one-and-dones leave in "good academic standing" it evidently does not affect the dreaded Academic Progress Rate that bit UConn in the behind. But it does amaze me that these guys seem to be nothing more than hired gladiators rather than students, and Calipari always gets away with it.
