Okay, it is not Irene, or Albert, or Snowmageddon.....but it is strange to look out my office window and see snow accumulating on my car and the ground.
It is supposed to go over to rain (and quite a lot of it) soon. We will see.
I tried to attach a pic, without luck....

Thank you, Chapette, for the aerial view!! Much more impressive than my ground level shot that wouldn't attach. You must have a nice view on a clear day.
Going over to snain here now.

Read a report yesterday from a well known and seemingly respected Russian weather scientist that we have entered a period of solar cooling which will produce conditions akin to the Little Ice Age of the early 1800s by 2050-60. Others say man made warming effects will more than offset. Stay tuned.

Hey, I'd settle for some drought remediation in CT. We are almost 15 inches behind in rainfall from this time last year.

Hey, I'd settle for some drought remediation in CT. We are almost 15 inches behind in rainfall from this time last year. I was shocked by that the other day, seemed like every time I talked to the CT daughter this spring she was lamenting the rain. Lived through a horrible multiyear drought as an early teen in New York; hope it isn't one of those shaping up.
