I am a solid independent. I have voted blue, I have voted red. I dislike both candidates in the major parties very different reasons.
But, the Republicans only have themselves to blame for the joke representing their side. What did they think would happen with 18 career politicians against a celebrity? The general public doesn't know squat about 18 politicians, but know Trump. Those tired of the same old professional politicians, and there are many, and those who just wanted to vote for Trump as a novelty overwhelmed the split votes across the remaining candidates. And here we are.
If I am in the upper echelons of the GOP, I start planning today to get potential candidates for 2020 vetted, decide on a few possible, and get there faces out there in positive ways. No more than three. Get folks with some personality, who are likeable and inoffensive (as much as possible for politicians). And get everyone else on board to prevent the "every GOP member of Congress and governor" throwing their hat into the ring fiasco of 2016.
I want a real choice for my vote. This year it truly comes down to the lesser of two evils in my mind. Or, I may just stay home.
This is about as political as I get. Which is strange since the Godmother of my sister is a very influential member of the California GOP and my mother was very red politically oriented as a result of her friendship with Lois. My father is quite conservative, my sister quite liberal and I am right down the middle. Go figure.

I truly hope every who is able gets out to vote. It is, I agree, a choice as to who is the lesser of two evils. But I will vote - because if I don't, I have given up my right to choose to other people and their agendas.

You guys who dont live in battleground states should consider yourself lucky. At this point... the states up for grabs it seems are NC,Florida, Ohio, and PA.
This week..... Monday.... Pence was in Charlotte... today... Obama was here in Greensboro... tomorrow... Pence will be in Raleigh, Kaine will be in Davidson (suburb of Charlotte)... dont think anyone will be here on thursday. Friday.... Trump is gonna be in Charlotte... and just announced he will be back in Greensboro... actually at the same amphitheatre that Obama was at this evening. He was just here in the area two weeks ago Political ads seems like every commercial break..... even have ads playing on the Tune-In app on my cell phone...

The question is will the GOP survive or will it bifurcate. We need to get our sh!t together. Or maybe it would be good to break off start an actual Conservative party. We're getting as bad as the Dems.

I truly hope every who is able gets out to vote. It is, I agree, a choice as to who is the lesser of two evils. You don't have to vote for either one. And if you don't support either one, I would hope you choose someone else. But I will vote - because if I don't, I have given up my right to choose to other people and their agendas. Exactly.
