Winning 13 of their last 14 games, this team is playing their best ball all year.
Heres a tweet from our football kicker
Doesn't matter what sport, always root for the Huskies
Also we won a championship in Hurling

I had no idea the NCAA had a Hurling championship. I brought my brother a Hurling bat and sliotar back from Ireland in 1966.

I didn't know what hurling was...had to go look it up.
Baseball...George Springer and Matt Barnes, UConn products, have found success in MLB. Too much to expect a trip to Omaha, but the excellence of UConn athletics continues to shine. How a northern university can win a baseball conference championship against Florida and Texas teams with their location advantage of better weather for early season practice says a lot. Yes, football drives the bus. But strength in other sports can't hurt in the conference realignment wheel of fortune.

Not expecting it but if there is a deal run made this year it couldn't hurt.

Hurling (pronounced Curley) is a Gaelic game that is a cross between rugby, hockey, and a bit of its own ideas. I first learned the game on Wide World of Sports which used to cover the Irish or World championship game.
Players develop amazing skills being able to pick up the ball/sliotar off the ground often while on the run and the ability to bounce it and carry the ball on the stick while running. Tremendous athleticism.
Here is a little video and intro to the rules.

Hurley - a game I'd have loved to play. Surprising it has not caught on in this country. Lacrosse has turned into a strategic, checkmate snore.

Curling played on ice? Wrong spelling? Wrong sport? Or just wrong?

Curling played on ice? Wrong spelling? Wrong sport? Or just wrong? Auto spell it was supposed to be Curley which is the old Gaelic pronunciation of Hurling.
