Both cats have caught a mouse in the last three or four days. Tells me we have a mouse problem in our house. If there are two, there are probably many more - mice being mice. So the question is...do we just let the cats round them up over time? Or do we set some traps where the mice can get to but the cats cannot? Poison? What to do? I have been lucky so far. My husband has been home and has cornered the cat(s) and took the mice away and put them out of their misery outside while I cowered in the bathroom. Mice creep me out big time. If they catch a mouse and my husband isn't home. I will leave the house. Seriously. I know they are much smaller than I am but I am more afraid of them than they are of me.

You could try two things at once.....traps where the cats aren't and keep the cats on patrol. Worked pretty well for me several years ago. I would stay away from poison with the cats around. And I feel for you -mice creep me out too

Go with Schusky's thoughts - no poison! If mice eat poison and get to the cats, it may poison the pussies when they catch the mice. There are some good new traps out there...
PS - it could be worse...my next door neighbors got flying squirrels in their only bathroom at 3 AM....now that was a crazy weekend...

I have ordered a Mass Kill electrocution chamber for the vermin. Between that and nature's best mouse traps, we should be able to get the problem under control. Will take time, but whatever it takes.
