I placed this thread back here after Christmas.
Whether you finished celebrating Hanukah, are beginning your Christmas celebration tonight or on January 7th with the various Christian Orthodox traditions, if you celebrate Kwanza or the Winter Solstice or if you share no particular confession at all I offer to all of you the very best wishes and prayers for the grace and gifts in your life of whoever and whatever led Moses and the people out of Egypt, raised Jesus of Nazareth from the dead, or simply wills the magnificent splendor we label the universe. May you sing the music of the season with gusto in the simple joy of harmonizing and may your heart be warmed with the oft told stories of a child born in humble circumstances in whom lay the hopes and expectations of a people from the least to the greatest.
May your way be easy in the coming year but when it is not may you find inspiration and hope that begins as small and vulnerable as a infant in arms and may it grow in your life with the power of faith and a belief that all things are possible and that even mountains can be cast into the sea and that our hearts and spirits can be healed.
Peace be with you.
And may God always smile on the UCONN Huskies!

We are celebrating Christmas now and will be til Feb. 2. Strange I know, but the period before December 24 is Advent for usns. February 2? Don't you mean Jan. 6th? What kind of liturgical buff are you? February 2nd is the middle of the ordinary Sunday's of Epiphany.
