When we host Thanksgiving dinner at our house, it is a tradition to play this after we have stuffed ourselves with Turkey and all the other wonderful eats.
A day early, but because tomorrow will be a busy one for us all, I am sharing a portion of our holiday tradition with you and wishing you all a glorious and wonderful Thanksgiving.
Enjoy!

Chapette, I listen to that every year for Thanksgiving, as well.

CBS This Morning had a segment with Arlo on how the song came about and how it became a part of Thanksgiving traditions.
Many people consider this an anti-war protest song. Arlo counters with it is an anti-stupidity song. He was disqualified from serving in the Vietnam war because of a conviction for littering.
I'm sure the segment will be posted online at some point and I will add a link when it is. It was an interesting piece.
