The USA U17 team was DOWN by 16 points midway through the 3rd quarter to France !! But the press turned the game around. Their shots started falling and they wound up winning by 16. Completely overwhelming France in the last 15 minutes of the game.

Completely overwhelming France in the last 15 minutes of the game. Jazzy had 29 pts; 12 ribbies; 3 assists; and 5 steals, and only 2 TOs. But she needed 26 shots. |

Jazzy is a scoring machine, but she does take a lot of shots. Could be her, could be this coaching staff. Saw the highlights of the blowouts, pressing a team when your ahead by 50 was, in my opinion, classless, but they sure needed it last night. Turned it on at halftime, France by ten and then it got worse. Then the light bulb came on. In a thousand watt bulb. I was really curious to see who the USA would play if they ever got in a close game. With disaster staring them in the face, the coaching staff figured out that Addison Bjorn needed to be on the floor. After not starting, in any game, she played almost the entire second half. No eye popping stats, but doesn't have to score to impact the game. In fact, led team in +-. Typical player that UCONN recruits. Plays hard, exceptional passer, and I mean all the passes from length of the court dimes to bullets into the post to clever little warp arounds, aggressive when the opportunity arises but doesn't force anything, a really heady player. We'll see if she starts tonight.
