I don't envy you the task of deciding what to do with everything in the house you are selling - what to keep and move, what to toss, what to donate. You'll need every day between now and June, I bet. Hope you and Mrs. DD take your vitamins and patience pills! Glad you are around for "our" golf season, tho...

Mrs. Doggy wants everything donor NOW and I’m more “we have 6 weeks” kind of guy.

Mrs. Doggy wants everything donor NOW and I’m more “we have 6 weeks” kind of guy. My wife was super organized when we moved west, merging my mother's and our house into a (slightly) bigger house for 3. I'm no expert, but she did do or plan 3 things early on that were key - 1 - We went through and knew what pretty much everything was and what we were keeping fairly early. 2 - We used an auction company to take stuff from both houses that we didn't want and that they thought they could auction off, and made about $3000 (we did the same when we closed the wife's mother's house after her father's death). Furniture is not much desired. 3 - We rented a "pod" where we stored a bunch of stuff that we didn't need for several months before our move. We actually thought we would use that company to move us, but it turned out that our HOA out here - while generally very hands off and non-bothersome - didn't permit it. Don't know if any of this will help you, but as miserable as moving was - and I don't really want to do it again - it actually was unbelievably smooth.
