Revelle thinks the Storrs’ campus also helped solidify Strong’s decision. Yes, UConn women’s basketball is one of the most iconic basketball programs of all time, but the Storrs campus gives her comfort to be herself and not get stuck in the giant, hustle-and-bustle-like campus of other big programs.
“She really could be the greatest player to ever play college basketball,” Revelle said. “… I think even some of the other schools that recruited her, they were too too big. They were too ostentatious. They were too flashy, if that makes sense, for Sarah’s personality. So, this is a perfect fit.”

This is great...we often think that the relative calm and isolation of the Storrs campus hurts us. But in this case it may have helped!

Sarah fits the UConn mold to a T. So glad UConn got her in the fold.
Players like Angel Reese will never fit in the UConn system. Too much "look at me". As long as Geno and CD are the brain trust, the focus will be on players who are very talented but not all over social media with a personal agenda.

But, can we please hold off on the greatest player ever crap until she at least plays in a Uconn game?

But I emailed Revelle and told him (her? they?) to cut it out.

He can throw out the greatest player kudos all he want's. It's certainly not crap. Just an opinion from someone who knows way more than we do about her abilities.

I loved my time on that campus. Fond memories. I remember watching them build Gampel and raising the roof. We were there for the first game. I don't miss dodging goose poop though.
I expect Strong to play on the wing (SF). What do others think?

“I’ve had the honor of coaching this young lady for the past 4 years. I can say with total confidence that the college coach who is successful in recruiting her will have made the biggest mistake of his/her career. She never looks for the open team mate. Never plays an ounce of defense. Won’t even try to rebound. She will take her 30 shots a game, get her 20 points and head to the Frat party as fast as she can.”
said no HS coach ever…

If we have our wishes come true next season could be more than a little spectacular.

If we have our wishes come true next season could be more than a little spectacular. Wishes? Paige is National Player of the Year and sweeps all the awards. Again. Sarah is National Freshman of the year and an All-American. Jana wins the starting center position and UConn is the team with the tough 6'6" big to match up with. All injured players come back healthy and ready to play. The sophs all take that big improvement that usually happen. That's a good start!!!

IF that happens (and no "new" injuries), everything else will most likely fall into place.

This video is months old but it is all about Strong from the viewpoint of a SCar blogger hoping for her to come to Columbia. It warms my heart. And it should remind thos crying "never enough!" of how fortunate UConn is with their current 1st year player class.
