She is, but Geno isn't really joking when he makes fun of her for trying to dribble through a bunch of players (it was actually 3) in trying to break the press. Or when he said he called a play in the huddle for Aaliyah and KK just ignored it. He's calling her out publicly in a gentle way (handling a freshman and with no real alternative on the bench). KK has a great deal of talent, but she still has some growing to do as a basketball player, especially if she wants to play point and run the offense. As they say, the best thing about freshmen is that they become sophomores.

This is really a similar vein to Q and her shooting ... it is better that she isn't hesitating. Delighted that she really believes this play is going to work through an entire battalion of defenders. Kudos to her for having the skills and keeping her head to find a way of making it work on some of those occasions when she made the wrong decisions. ... AND still needing to rein her in a bit to reduce those mistakes ... use the tools you have to the max and minimize the areas that hold you back. Should also note that Paige has also driven into an ambush on more than a few occasions this season. Her toolkit for wriggling free from such mistakes is simply packed with a greater list of bailout moves that are often successful.

If we are sometimes surprised that over the past 2 years a team so polished and well-practiced has trouble against the press, maybe it's at least partly because they can't even field two teams in practice. They may sometimes employ the men for full court scrimmage (they brought them to Portland for that reason, and I imagine they're in Cleveland also), but with the no-contact rule with the men it's not the same. They need teammates on the other side of the ball to press them, and they just don't have enough to do that.

LOL There were a couple of other friendly-fire incidents too, IIRC.
