I was interested and glad to read the attached article in DD's blog where Dawn Staley uses the term "elitist" as actually a complimentary adjective for Paige. Interesting phraseology, but a nice compliment from Dawn.
BTW - awesome read this morning from you guys!

Great job DD ! Glad someone had the guts to post that video regarding Contoversial look at Paige and Caitlin. There is no question that politics are involved in sports , whether we like it or not. Just look at the future sites and the lack of any eastern sites. We had tickets in Albany for all 4 days. Our tickets for Saturday and Mondy featuring CC games sold for crazy amount, and yet we still can't sell the Friday and Sunday tickets . 2 seats ,6 rows from the floor. I just don't think other team fans are traveling as well as expected , but we shall see. Now even Tara is complaining about the two site format. I read a quote by Wes Moore still complaining about playing Uconn in Bridgeport two years ago, and how they purposely sent Uconn to Portland to avoid controversy.

Part of the reason why it's all Caitlin all the time is because the media is lazy and not very WCBB-smart. Just easier to pull out film from the archives and rehash the same stories than it is to take a clear-eyed look what's really happening.
But this can work to Paige's (and therefore UConn's) advantage. Not being in the limelight doesn't bother Paige, and also keeps the full pressure off her so that Paige can be free to be Paige.

Paige would rather her teammates got the credit, unlike some others.

Back to DD's report. I have had a contoversial thought ever since the Syracuse game regarding Nika. I thought the last offensive foul by Nika delibertley pushing off and fouling out of the game was ineresting. Noone seemed upset on the bench. Is it possible that it was a purposeful move to force other plyers to step up and be ready as opposed to what happened in game against Irish ? I am not normally a conspiracy type person, but it has been sticking out to me ever since. Interesting how it worked out.

This was a great report. Loved esp. Phil's speculations, always based on the numbers. Thank you!

It's the hazard you face when you play with a fire in your belly.
