Notre Dame advances (dammit). But NC State might send Tennessee home. Wolfpack, up 6 with :54 left.

NCSt blew a big halftime lead and a royal choke was in the wind into the 4th. But the momentum shifted back and the NCSt crowd's cheering has a lot of relief in it as the knots in their stomachs relax.
74-67 with 50" left

Have to admit that the Vols have shown some fight, almost beating (maybe should have beaten) South Carolina and now this....

Tennessee gave it a valiant effort, but not enough. Bless their hearts.

Before I forget I want to shout out to Nunu Agara, freshman wing for Stanford who played significant minutes last night against ISt. Nunu played HS ball with Bueckers for 2 seasons at Hopkins and her talent was obvious when she was in the 8th grade. Hopkins was undefeated both those years.

UCLA pulls out a 4th quarter win beating a Creighton team who built up a nice halftime lead, but tired noticeably in the second half.
Utah is leading Gonzaga 20-14 and USC is leading Kansas by 10 in the 2nd quarter.
If both Utah and USC win, the Pac 12 will have placed six teams in the Sweet Sixteen, with Utah and USC joining Colorado, Stanford, UCLA and Oregon State -- quite a remarkable achievement for the Girls of the Golden West.
The Big 10 has Iowa and Indiana, and the ACC has Notre Dame, Duke and NC State. The Big 12 will have Baylor and Texas (and possibly Kansas if they bounce back against USC). The SEC will have South Carolina and LSU, UConn will represent the Big East and Gonzaga will represent the WCC if they can take down Utah.

So, so happy TN lost. Feels almost as good as a UCONN win.

So sad about Creighton. I really wanted that one too! Yeah, that would have been nice. However, I would much rather LSU lose, than Creighton win. And I think UCLA has a much better chance of beating LSU than Creighton.

That sounds like an all-time first to me. Even to have played five teams in the sweet sixteen has to be very unusual, although all the Pac 12 schools can probably boast that distinction this year Even more remarkably, each of the round of 16 games in the other bracket will feature a team UConn lost to --- SC, ND, NC St and Texas.
