Crooks cannot score on Brink. Brink not playing well against Crooks, either, but that's a great trade for Stanford.

Stanford's poor shooting balanced by ISt's turnovers. Iriafen 7-16 and the rest of the team is 5-17.
I don't see ISt staying hot from 3 in the 2nd half.

4 fouls on Brink. Getting interesting....

50-50 after 3. I keep telling myself it's tough defense but there's a lot of offensive ineptitude. ISt went cold and I figured they were done but then Stanford turned a couple over and couldn't stop fouling and we have a tie after 3.
I guess it's best that the east coast, except for myself, is asleep.

Watching this game I'm wondering who makes the better pro, Brink or Iriafen?

Brink had ball, but she had the rest of Crooks, too. Despite her incredulity that anything bad can happen to a Stanford student, out she goes!

Watching this game I'm wondering who makes the better pro, Brink or Iriafen? Iriafen, I think. But both are really good.

For a game with no rhythm it's 66-64 Trees with 1:18 left.

Crooks misses the shot she needs to make.

OT.
That last shot attempt looked just like the end of the E8 game vs Baylor in the E8. All that's missing is a screaming banshee.

Never saw Tara do that before. Actually, probably technical-worthy, but no ref in the world would call that.

Weird. Iriafen made a play on offense and Tara walked out on the court yelling something at Iriafen, followed by teo assisteants who got her to return to the sidelines. It just looked very odd.

Someone explain to me why Crooks wasn't shooting when Brink got her fifth? They make even a single ft, and Iowa State might win.

Someone explain to me why Crooks wasn't shooting when Brink got her fifth? They make even a single ft, and Iowa State might win. Wow, that's some non-call. There were a number of those. Crooks gave Brink a body slam, and Brink flew around 5' away, for a no call. (There was also some uncalled flopping going on, too). But between Brink and Iriafen, Stanford really got into her head. Crooks missed a number of wide open close-range jumpers. Near the close of regulation, she missed a turn around from 3 feet that, it turned out, would have won the game.

Even worse, several minutes later, during a time out she went after the ref and one of Stanford's ass't coaches had to pull her back. Brink did have ball, but she also mugged Crooks, just as she had done a couple of earlier times without it being called. So, she figured that was always going to be ok. Reffing was terrible. I've always admired Brink as a player but always resented how Stanford puts her face on billboards and builds up her glam image on their instagram. Kind of the worst of Palo Alto (well, there's always something worse there).

In my opinion, Jesse Dickerson, one of the refs, is one of the worst in WBB. He works the B1G a lot so I've seen him on TV, probably works the Big 12 hence his assignment to the game. Truly terrible, him and one other guy whose name slips my mind, another B1G etc. ref are among the worst that I see on TV. The others - Robinson is a PAC ref, some don't like her, I've never had a strong opinion, she did high-five my wife randomly while running down the court warming up about 5 years ago. The other, Julie Kroemenhoek (not necessarily spelled correctly) is a former P5 player, I believe. In any case, I wasn't impressed with the refs, not that they favored anybody, they were just worse than usual. I know tourney refs are "recommended" and "selected" - but sometimes I just don't understand.

When will WCBB start getting some decent refs??? It's really shocking.
