I've been thinking about that and just ran into something that could be interesting and delicious:

She's a public figure. She will not win a libel suit. The Post has better lawyers than she or LSU has.

Too bad Clark and Mulkey aren't at the same school, they could share a box of Kleenex. Since the article hasn't come out yet, how does Mulkey even know what's in it? Obviously, she thinks it's bad. Why would she think that? Because someone knows something? Threatening the Post didn't work for Nixon, it won't for her either.

It's not often that you get to quote Hamlet on the WCBB thread, but, "Methinks the lady doth protest too much"
She's deathly afraid of somethin' coming out.

Kim just drew WAY more attention to the supposedly upcoming WAPO article than if she had kept her mouth shut.It might not have been that big a deal, but it will be now. Kim playing the victim card before the event is a bad move and a joke.

Oh, Kim. If you are reacting this strongly before the article even comes out, it must be really, really interesting and illuminating and will paint you in an even worse light than already shines on you. Then again, you can't get enough publicity. Even bad publicity. You love the spotlight on you. Can't wait to read the article.

Kim playing the victim card before the event is a bad move and a joke. The concept of keeping her mouth shut is foreign to Kim...unless it is about Brittney Griner. Then, she stays resolutely mum.

If the article will be spreading lies, shouldn’t she take the opportunity to defend herself against any falsehoods? Or does she realize she is her own worst enemy and keeping silent lets her maintain the allegations are lies?

She says the paper has been pestering her for 2 years, so maybe she is rightfully paranoid. But, that's what puts a lie to her indignation about being contacted during the first week of the tourney: she admits that the writer has been trying to involve her feedback and input for, literally, years. She's had the opportunity for involvement and has refused; that's her right. She doesn't, however, have the right to censor the paper nor anyone else. Just because she doesn't want to play, she doesn't get to demand that nobody gets to play. She's either being controlling just for the hell of it, or is trying to delay, delay, delay. The question is, why?
