The current contract is an interim agreement. Both sides agreed to this bridge until the next media rights deal should raise all boats in the harbor. It was a bit of negotiating genius. The next one will be significantly tougher, but with more resources to share.

I'll bet you swash that negotiation will be tempestuous. I know there has been some talk about TV money going up with the performance last season. Maybe that will come through.

Will players ever learn supply and demand basics? Wish that NBA would stop giving WNBA money to survive.
Maybe whining players should go visit homeless camps in nearest large city - for some perspective. No one forces them to play basketball for living.
Alternatives for players: 1. Use your 4 year degree and get job. 2. Be your own bos$ on variou$ Social Media platform$.
