It's at, roughly, the 5:10 mark of the 3rd quarter, that Aaliyah gets clocked

I remember it now, but I guess I completely failed to process it.
Sure hope she's okay. She seemed a bit dazed during the huddles at the end of the game. Does she even get on a plane before being scanned? I don't know anything about protocols.

I flew home from Cancun two days after suffering a major concussive event (fell off a horse, unconscious for almost 10 minutes). That was 10 years ago, though. And I was treated by Mexican doctors.

OMG! I'd use that instance as an excuse for all kinds of mistakes. Well, I kinda do.... Used to ride over jumps, fell A LOT. It 'splains some things. I was younger then. No "velcro-ass" me.

Doggy D, thank you very much for posting this replay. I refused to pay to see it live, so the replay was the next best thing.

I was able to watch the Kansas game (but not the UCLA) game live on YouTube.
My question is why was UCONN (and the other schools) playing in what looked like my grand-daughter's middle school gym, in front of very inexperienced announcers on an island territory whose principal source of income is establishing shelters for tax cheats?
Aside perhaps from what I imagine are nice beaches, nice hotels and greed, why would any school allow itself to be associated with such a Mickey-Mouse event in one of the more disreputable places in the world? There are lots of other nice beaches and nice hotels in the world.

I hope UConn made some $$$ off that deal........

I cancelled my FloHoops subscription on Sunday. And I am angry that it became free after I subscribed.
Many tournaments are played in hotel conference rooms. I think the Cancun tournaments are typically held there. At least UConn got to play on a real basketball court intended and used for basketball more than once a year.
These tournaments have their value. Gives the team a chance to go to a tropical locale and play teams they themselves may not have scheduled and lets them do more bonding. It helps the local economy (a little, since the venues are so small).
The biggest benefit for the location is the advertisements to help build tourism revenue. The advertising for the Cayman Islands did make me want to go there. I have been there once, and I remember how beautiful the water was.
Playing in a small gym is not ideal, but they do play in Walsh Gymnasium. Which isn't all that much bigger than the high school they played at.

Not a fan of rum cakes. Not a fan of rum, either. Unless it is mixed with some simple syrup, lime juice, club soda, mint and ice.

Since today is CyberTuesday thread drift day, I got a Panettone from Eataly in Boston that was delicious.
