I am surprised. Is Angel allowed to do that? I think in the pros this would be tampering/not allowed. Not sure about college basketball. I guess it is okay.

I will absolutely celebrate if NONE of them choose LSU? I believe student-athletes can do that, but it's not often so bold? Paige 'courted' Azzi for about a year before she chose UConn. I don't see a quiet, cerebral athlete like Sarah Strong choosing a clown colege like LSU?? |

I think it is a bit unseemly. And it is as likely to turn a recruit off as it is to encourage them.

I think it is a bit unseemly. And it is as likely to turn a recruit off as it is to encourage them. I'm not a fan of the practice either, but I'm more concerned with coaches or wealthy donors trying to induce players into the portal. |

In my head this is a shot at Kim Mulkey. That may well be. They are fighting tooth and nail over Joyce Edwards, and we know Kim has problems with limitations and boundaries. Coach Mulkey got in trouble with the NCAA when she was @ Baylor. It was more than 10 years ago when she was trying to get Griner. Kim has always been sneaky with recruiting? In my head this is a shot at Kim Mulkey. Regardless of the motivation, I like this statement. I believe that she means what she says, and tries to live by this principle. I know Dawn is not super popular here, but I hold her in high regard. That doesn't mean I agree with her all the time, of course. |

I have zero respect for her. While I sometimes disagree with Coach Staley's comments, I have no doubt whatsoever that she genuinely cares about the well-being of ALL her Student-athletes. I can't say the same for that person coaching @ LSU? |
