They will have a new coaching staff by the time she plays college ball.

Koval going to LSU would be one of the most shocking recruiting decisions ever imo. New York kid heading to Baton Rouge. That sums it up. Not a cultural fit whatsoever.

I guess I don't understand that. First, these kids live in bubbles and so hang pretty much exclusively with their friends. Second, why not? I know plenty of kids from New England who choose to go to school in the South. Clemson, for example, is a pretty hot school right now for New England kids.

I will just say it. No holding back. I think Louisiana is a shithole.
If you don’t know any better because you are from there… maybe you can tolerate it. Koval will know better. If she goes there, she will be homesick quickly imo.

creighton needs to reload. Their cupboard will be bare after this season. In fact, this summer is when their coach should consider leaving (if he ever intends on coaching at a P5 that is).

Do you really need much more than that for the next 3 years of your life?

I want to talk about jazzy Davidson. I thought UConn looked like front runners in the recruiting battle for her several months ago. Her Instagram activity reminded me of Morgan Cheli’s prior to her commitment.
Unfortunately. I believe things have changed. I would say she is probably leaning towards Stanford now.

Don't know what the evidence is. Could be right. But if you compare her to Kelis, UConn's already doing pretty good. Sorry, this is how they appear. It's the 2nd and 4th "twitter" that I wanted to post. Kelis and Jazzy are neck-and-neck.

Finally, some good DePaul recruiting news: I am often struck when reading these. Look at the schools. None is at DePaul's level. So did this kid slip past everyone else, or did Doug just settle ... possibly after losing out on another ... or others?

The first 3 games last year showed Azzi as healthy and a genertional tlent. If she's healthy again, with Paige supporting her, I expect great things. Paige is so giving she may well choose to supplement Azzi more than take charge herself. I don't want her to wait for Paige to give it to her. I want her to take it. She is not here to be Paige's Robin. Actually I expect that Fudd will shoot more than Bueckers in most games. FG's + assists will be close between the two. This team will be more Justice League (with far less drama) than Batman/Robin.

A really good get. After this year, TX in the SEC, and, yes, will really challenge TN. No reason why TX can't be a major player. I suspect there's a lot of NIL dollars to throw around, too. Do you think future coaching decisions (I mean decisions to coach at certain schools) will be made based, not only facilities, etc, but on how much NIL dollars a school can promise a coach that they can use to lure prospects?

Posts like this confuse me. It sounds to me you believe that schools can give NIL money directly from the institution to the student/athlete. Why would Texas have a lot of NIL to throw around? And a school can promise a coach a specific amount of NIL money available? These are the ways that players can earn NIL money. Accepting direct payments for promotional activities Receiving free or sponsored products in exchange for promotion Receiving free or sponsored services in exchange for promotion Earning affiliate money from social media promotion Becoming an ambassador for a brand or business Appearing in commercials, ads, and digital content

The mens game has had "stealth" NIL for many decades and the sport has thrived. All that has changed for the men is that a) they can take checks instead of cash and b) mens basketball fans will now know that it wasn't the beautiful campus that landed the star player.

Accepting direct payments for promotional activities Receiving free or sponsored products in exchange for promotion Receiving free or sponsored services in exchange for promotion Earning affiliate money from social media promotion Becoming an ambassador for a brand or business Appearing in commercials, ads, and digital content To clarify: a lot of very rich donors around TX. They will supply the NIL money directly to the players "for services" or bundled it as collectives. There is technically a hands-off policy between these funding sources and the university. But of course, that's a mere technicality. Coaches will certainly tell potential recruits what they can reasonably expect from these "outside sources." No reasonable person would look at this: www.texasonefund.org/and not see it as hand-in-glove coordinated with the U. of T. Any coach considering a job is going to take a cold hard look at a school's collective and calculate how effective it will be in attracting recruits. And to attract a coach, wealthy donors will guarantee NIL payments. Just like one wealthy alum--who used to be on the U of South Carolina governing board--guaranteed every player a base of $25k/year in NIL. nocapsports.io/university-of-south-carolina-womens-basketball-team-players-to-each-receive-the-opportunity-for-25000-in-nil-deals-for-upcoming-season/?trk=organization_guest_main-feed-card_feed-article-content#:~:text=COLUMBIA%2C%20S.C.%2C%20September%2028%2C,name%2C%20image%20and%20likeness%20(NIL
