Always a warm spot for the Liberty, we had 10 years of season tix when the league started. Brondello got a lot of bad press in AZ, but I always thought she was a good coach and she will certainly have opportunities with the stacked roster. And I think I generally like all the players on the team.
Of course, if Diana wants to lead the Merc and end her career with a bang, that would be fine with me too. The rare case of proactively rooting for 2 teams.

The Liberty hired her and now they're building quite a team in NY. Sandy is a damn good coach and the Mercury will miss her?

have long been a supporter of the SUN, and I do wish they had managed something like this. This NY team is certainly stacked and should be champions for several years to come.

Brondello was reading a bit stale, apparently, and she just didn't seem well supported as the Mercury coach any time I read comments about her. As I say, I thought she was ok, I'm not technical enough to criticize every move she made. The Mercury may very well miss her. It is impossible to judge last season, what with the Griner turmoil, but I didn't see enough out of the new coaching staff to say "great hire". We will see this year.
