We have seen how the voters treat Stanfraud. They fall to #4. No more than that. Certainly not below us! It isn't about who *I* think is better. I am guessing at what the voters will do. 1. SC 2. LSU 3. Indiana 4. Stanfraud 5. Iowa 6. Utah 7. UConn Hmmm.....posting on TOB as 90BSEE? Your rankings on what the voters will do was as widely panned there as it is here. 90 BC? Hmmmm. Either Sulla's beginning involvement in the Social War, or Julius Caesar's lex julia? Seems pretty obscure.

Nor do I care what people think.

Would drop to 9, changed that to 7 in spite of the evidence that wouldn’t happen and they then actually moved up a spot to No. 4 I’d be cranky too.

Did you hear Geno's post game interview?? He was specifically asked how many 3pt's were needed to win. He counted them up and came up with......what for it.....10. Oh, where have I heard that before. I fully expect to a bench coach next year. They average 16 a game so I'm not sure how much of a genius thought this is. But you did post it, so great credit to you. I thought it and knew it so I plan on sitting on the bench with you. What a pair we would be....lol. Well the genius was in realizing without Fudd/Ducharme they weren't gonna get those 10. Hence why I didn't think we had the horses to beat them....at this time. Hopefully in the future we will. They haven't built a bench big enough for both our egos.

What Ken said above encapsulates my thinking. I simply have no faith in the sportswriters. If Maryland hadn't lost during the week, they would have jumped ahead of us too. Same with ND. And then we really would have been #9. Hell, they may just do it anyway. Wouldn't shock me. After all, Maryland and ND beat UConn. I think you vastly overestimate the impact of our loss. But of course, it really doesn't matter who's right on this. So long as UConn is at least 3-seed (and I believe it'll stay a 1 seed), it's only marginally different whom UConn will have to beat on the way to beating South Carolina on April 2. It is extremely, extremely slim UCONN would be a 3 seed.

You guys are being sensitive and, may I add, confrontational. Do you honestly think I am upset about not correctly predicting what humans would do? LOL...

Curious why you think my attempt to parse your name on Area 51 has to do with pollsters or anything else. I'm just trying to guess the reasoning behind your handle, that's all. Sorry, it was not my intention to connect those. I was trying to address two different points in one post. To be clear, your guess as to the meaning of my handle isn't close but has nothing to do with the rest of it. Interestingly enough, your guess could actually be a semi-accurate reference to my ancestry. But that is purely coincidental. The other stuff was intended for someone else who thinks I care what people on the other board think. I barely care about what my own family thinks about my ramblings.

(still a #1 seed, just the 3rd) And if they win out the rest of the season and the BET, I think they have a decent shot at the #2 or #3 overall seed. LSU is gonna drop a couple games to S. Carolina, I assume. Indiana still has to play Ohio St. Michigan and Iowa (twice) in the regular season. Then probably 2 of Michigan/Ohio St/Iowa/Illinois in the B1G tourney. If Indiana DOES win out, then they deserve the #2 seed. But not much difference than the #3 seed. Still don't have to play S. Carolina til NC (assuming everyone holds seed).

Remember the base of the sub-thread was LSU's current lack of losses. If either were to fail to reach the finals in that event, they would need to have lost in an upset
