>It's hard to call Striplin a starter and I think this might have been her last start. I think she was only technically a starter. Kellie made the decision that Horsten should come in off the bench. (As an aside, that decision was criticized mightily by the fans including one who argued that starting Jordan would likely have meant the game would come down to the final possession.) Striplin only played five minutes. (She was the only Tennessee player to be perfect from the field, maybe she should've played more?

> There were 13K at TBA but they did not make a difference. The only intangible was that UConn was the better team and both Tennessee and UConn knew it.
This is a tiny stretch but only tiny. I posted somewhere my recollections of the game at Duke which I attended, in my observation that the full house rattled the home team, because they weren't used to it.
I'm pretty sure Kelly Harper hinted at this in her post game, obviously wanting to thank the crowd for showing up, but I believe she suggested that some of the Lady Vol players might've been a little intimidated. Sorry, I wish I could remember exactly what word she used.
UConn has played before 10,000 more often than Tennessee this season

I never even considered this, but what if it is the home team that get's rattled by the number of people in the stands when they don't typically draw nearly that many? Think of the BE teams that draw 1-2 thousand, or in some cases, hundreds of people and now UCONN comes to town. The place is full or close to it especially in the smaller BE gyms and their right on top of you. Obviously UCONN's defense has a big impact on a team's shooting but not every shot is that closely defended, maybe it is nerves because of their own home crowd.

"I think we were hurt by having so many of our fans in the stand" said no coach ever.

I've often thought that the teams with small followings were at a disadvantage when the UCONN circus came to town. In the early years of UDOMINATION, it was frequent and often easy to see the teams that were rattled by the crowds. Nowadays, while it's not nearly so often, it still does happen. A small-crowd team can be overwhelmed by the massive crowd that appears (as if by magic) to cheer/see UCONN.
Remember the crowds in Florida? And there were more UCONN fans in stands than those of the home teams. O My!
