China got hot in the 3rd, but USA putting the hammer down to start the 4th. Up by 14 with 5:00 left. Can't stay up any longer. Looking good.

Couldn't shoot like this in Storrs. Those years she missed in high school.... Yes, that and the unfortunate lack of BIGS by UConn made Gabby a center at 5' 11". She won nearly all opening taps, played great defense, rebounded and scored. Do you remember the really tough games (ND for one) where Geno gave Gabby his special Geno hugs at the end of the game? She out-played all of the ND BIGS that game and even blocked a big Arike shot when ND was attempting a come-back! Then, with minutes left in the game, dirty Mabrey gave her the forearm smash to her windpipe? Gabby sunk the free throws and Mabrey sulked away. Gabulous. |
