Brink was 3-8 from the foul line which, amazingly, was an improvement over her previous night. She's a terrific ballplayer and will be even better when Betts takes the 5 position next year. But if she can't hit her free throws, she'll be spending more time on the foul stripe than in Menlo Park.

Stanford University is technically in Stanford, CA. It is surrounded on three sides mostly by Palo Alto - which is why ESPN will usually say they are in Palo Alto when broadcasting a Stanford home game. Menlo Park does share a portion of the northern border of Stanford (and Stanford's campus) as does an oddly carved out area city Menlo Park West, which sits in a spot with Menlo Park encircling it to the north, east and west. I believe most Stanford "residents" spend time off campus in Palo Alto. Though Menlo Park likely does see their share. When my son was working in Palo Alto, nearly all the folks he met outside of work were Stanford students. He is living in Menlo Park now, within easy walking distance of Stanford. |
