Not your fault. How could you have known? At times like this I wish I was wrong. But, as usual, it was not to be. There has been something off in this program for quite a while. I though maybe it was the string of recruiting misses. And that may be part of it still. But it is deeper than that. Like a serious disturbance in the force. Not being an insider, I can only speculate. Whatever it is, I hope Geno and CD can figure out how to fix it. |

UConn has been to every final four since 2013. Final Fours haven't been the goal of this program since, what, 2000? You have seen the talent on this team, right? And we, in theory, have depth. No way in hell should a final four be acceptable for this group. Ask Geno. At this point, they don't even look like a final four team, let alone a champion. Believe what you want. I am telling you that something is off compared to our "norm". |

Let's all get off the ledge. We saw a good team beaten by a better one today. Seriously, not beating the consensus number one team is hardly a signal that the sky is falling.
Both of these teams will be better when they play next. Hopefully, our team will show more growth. They'll each improve again before the NCAA tournament. That's the real target.
USF also beat Oregon, so we had the tougher draw after all. Wink

What's the old saying? "A miss is as good as a mile." They got behind. Took risks and SCar took advantage. The play left a lot to be desired, but a crushing defeat it was certainly not. They lost. It's a bummer. No injuries. Watch the film. Get better. Get the Energizer Aubrey back. A bit more good luck would be nice, too. Think you feel bad about the game? Bet the players are grinding on it too. And that's probably a good thing. Find motivation to be 20 points better against that team. Figure out how to earn more rebounds and trips to the stripe. If you want to be a top team, play like one. Take the shot and make it. Ten more days to fume before taking some of it out on S.Hall, then keep looking forward and getting better |
