Early in the season so limited accuracy, but Massey has 10/11 big east mens teams in top 64, 3/11 womens teams. Records 23-2 vs 13-12. # 2 conference vs #6. Wonder if Big East will ever push for excellence on womens side. And how about Stony Brook whipping St. John’s and Rutgers.

As to Stony Brook beating RU, it looks like RU is having issues. But an RU fan did identify the coach of SB, in her first job, as someone to watch going forward. Came from Associate position at JMU, apparently, but only a couple games so far. But he was impressed by her side line demeaner.
As to the Big East - if they are the 6th best conference (and arguably, they are) how much of that includes UConn effect. Without UConn, while one of the stronger conferences, I'm not 100% sure they would have 6th locked up. Very few of the BE teams look to be challengers for Top 25 ranking (mostly, at all, and certainly not consistently but for DePaul). Marquette could be a good program. Then?
