For the prices they charge, you would think they could produce a better product. Flintstones technology with UTenn mindset?? Flintstones technology is classic and probably hits a little too close to home for me. |

Nika is a personal favorite , but she just looks terrible. Did she even work on shooting in the off season ? She hasn't even been able to hit the rim Maybe she's pressing too hard to make an impact now that her minutes are more limited? I think she is pressing the radio guys said she's rushing everything. |

Caroline called for a soft foul before a nice block. She's going to be good defensively Caroline looks 1/2 step slow on every play. Really a problem on defense . Agreed. Interestingly, I was worried about her quickness, but that doesn't seem to be it. More like she's not starting soon enough... maybe afraid to make a mistake? But quick enough once started. Similar on the offensive end, too. If that's correct, it bodes well. Easier to fix hesitation than sluggishness. |

ONO and Aaliya only took 4 shots each. I think Huskies need more production from them on the offensive side.I still don't like Buckets playing off the ball. As soon as Fudd gets her shooting going you will see more of Bueckers handling the playmaking. To my eye though she is really good at using change of direction off the ball to create space. It's nice to know that all those training videos of her in late summer were more than just video opportunities.  Roles will change next year. |

Let's remember that this was game 2 and game 1 was a week ago.
I thought the energy on defense was better. To me great defense is mostly effort. I see nothing to worry about with respect to 3pt defense. If a team is hot from 3 like Minn was in the 1st half you just have to wait them out. If any decent team decides to look primarily for 3's they are going to get a lot of looks. Remember Dayton in Albany?

In the third quarter, Paige was assigned to deny defense on Scalia ... a former HS rival in Minnesota. First, that strategy seems to have worked very well. Second, Supergirl has played some good defense, and her game at that end is really growing. Nice to see Geno challenge her, and to see Paige come through with meeting that challenge. |
