Because Paige IS hyperbole
No. 2 UConn avenged its sole regular-season defeat from last season, defeating Arkansas 95-80, and Paige Bueckers reinforced the notion that she’s phenomenal. It’s the coldest take I’ll offer all season, but what else is there to say about someone who drops the following stat line on opening night: 34 points (15-for-19 from the field), 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals, 40 minutes, and 0 turnovers?
Well, what else they could have said is that Paige did essentially all that in 3 quarters.
