It looks like she'll be announcing @ 6 PM ..... Thanks, Ken. What I saw was a conversation a couple of days ago on an Arizona site and I probably miscalculated Eastern time from it!  |

I guess that was really the sleeper. After all, it was Azzi's 2nd choice. It makes a little bit of sense. LA is an exciting town and I'm sure the AD has a standard dazzling recruitment package for high profile athletes. UCLA recruited a colleague of mine years ago. The kid didn't want to move, so UCLA contacted a certain movie star with front row season tickets to the Lakers (when they were playing "showtime"). The kid sat front row during the recruitment trip for his parent, and they effectively signed the parent on the spot. |

Yes exactly, really. Tara must be pissed. I don't think Close will make her all she can be. Wonder if the draw of being the It Girl was too enticing? |

So so so  ?? She picked UCLA. Probably the last one I would have chosen. Damn...I though for sure she would have chosen Stanford if she wanted to be in CA. She would have seen some great playing time there, with a great coach and solid team. I don't think UCLA will get her where she needs to be. #sorrynotsorry, I don't see a NC in her future. |

On Azzi I read somewhere that UCLA was just a beard to leave open until she got to the magic day. |

It's not like our cupboard is bare. Maybe she wanted to be a starter from Day One. Maybe she didn't want to be in the shadows of Paige and Azzi for a while. Who knows. We'll be fine.

For all the outside hoopla UCONN is a blue collar lunch pail work your butt off with no promises program, no names on the backs of jerseys, certainly no #1's on jersey's. If DT and Paige didn't get #1 no one else ever will.
