I think it's easy money to bet against this. Not that Paige might not deserve it. Just that voters get tired of doing the same thing.

I'm afraid Paige will spent the season getting bumped around and face guarded. It'll take some effort to improve on last years performance, but that may be what's required for her to repeat as POY.

I think it's easy money to bet against this. Not that Paige might not deserve it. Just that voters get tired of doing the same thing. Perhaps. But history is a powerful thing. If she's "only" as good as last year, it'll be hers. If she can really be better.... I am giddy thinking about that prospect. The alternate position is that people thought Clark was as deserving last season, and there will be a lot more mouths to feed in Storrs this season. I don't think Boston will get it, even if deserving. Harder as a big, I think. Too dependent on guards to get you the rock |

[Stewie] was the first-ever unanimous pick for AP Player of the Year and the first-ever three-time AP Player of the Year.So I guess I'm wrong [again]! But I think there are a number of other candidates, depending on who wins the NC and whether, with the extra talent on UConn, Paige has to be as good this year. |

In other words, only Didi Richards was capable of doing that last year, and it is likely to be much harder this time around |
