Some of us refuse to use the word "nice" and Brenda in the same sentence.
Of course, its all in your perspective. Years back, we used to watch the "Under the Shell" (I think was the name) Maryland WBB program, this in the era where all the various coaches shows got slots on Fox regional affiliates. I remember seeing Muffet, Pat, Rene Portland and other shows. Even a short-lived Vivian show.
In any case, the Maryland one did absolutely nothing positive for my opinion of Maryland. Everything was "rah-rah" "we're the best" and "fear the turtle" and while I intellectually "know" that Maryland runs some decent game plans, you wouldn't know it from the show. Coach Peck was another rah-rah coach, and it is one of 2 big turn-offs for me. The other is "ref-whining", especially when constant.

Never going to forget the cardboard cutout in the locker room. Then there's the stolen recruit. Blind ambition. Fair number of kids catch on and split, only to be replaced too easily it seems. I have to believe she's one of those promise them the moon coaches.

Never going to forget the cardboard cutout in the locker room. Then there's the stolen recruit. Blind ambition. Fair number of kids catch on and split, only to be replaced too easily it seems. I have to believe she's one of those promise them the moon coaches. Let's not forget the minor, but extremely DUMB, violations the NCAA Cited the Lady Turtles for a few years ago..... 'Brenda Frese and her staff agreed that between May 2015 and April 2018, the program used 17 recruiting booklets that included personalized covers, but claimed that they did not know such a tactic was a violation of NCAA rules. It was also noted that former assistant coach Bett Shelby, who did not have her contract renewed after the 2017-18 season, sent out 150 personalized puzzles to recruits, which was also a violation of NCAA rules.' So the coaches didn't bother to familiarize themselves with the rules?? imgflip.com/i/5rhbmrwww.testudotimes.com/maryland-terps-basketball/2019/6/18/18684087/mens-basketball-womens-basketball-ncaa-violations-recruiting-sanctions
