The critical factor will be who plays well with ABCDE. I don't see it as problem to have more answers on the bench than questionmarks.
This makes me wonder if she might be the best 6th man. Geno's John Havlicek.
Geno:
Edwards still needs conditioning, however
Fudd:
Fudd has a different personality from Bueckers and I think Geno's trying to minimize the hype. I'll be at the Ark game and I see Fudd being a major contributor in an up and down kind of game.

Obviously, there aren’t enough minutes for everyone, something head coach Geno Auriemma admitted outright. In doing so, the coach also hinted at how many players he expects to be in the rotation this season.
“We have 14 players on our team,” he said. “So how many realistically are going to play? What do you think? 12 every night, double-figure minutes? I doubt that. So the competition for those top eight or nine spots is going to be pretty intense.”
“We've got a month to find out who they are,” he added. “We have a pretty good idea who some of them are but we don't have a clear, concise idea who all of them are. And that's what the preseason is all about.”

Meanwhile, Evina Westbrook did whatever UConn needed from her on a given night last season — whether it was scoring, shooting, passing, rebounding or defending — and should be a Swiss Army knife again as a redshirt senior.

Geno:
"Liv has gotten a lot better at the things she knew she needed to get better at,” he said. “She spent a lot of time playing away from the basket and being able to make shots so that we have another threat…and that's going to be a big key. I think her experience — her good experience and bad experience from, from last year — I think that’s gonna be a big help to her this year.”

“There's things that Aaliyah can do that nobody else on our team can do,” Auriemma said. “Those things haven't gone away.”
“She fits in really well,” Williams said about Juhász. “She’s another big guy that can shoot from three so we can do a lot of different things off the pick and roll because she can pick and pop. That's a different look from Liv.”
“Dorka’s great. She's a great teammate, she's a great kid. She wants to be really, really good. She's longer than I thought. She's more skilled than I thought,” Auriemma said. “I'm really, really, really glad that she's here. She could be the difference that puts us into that other level.”
Fudd:
“We haven't seen a lot of what she can do. We've only seen a little bit,” he said. “I think it'll be a little bit at a time. There won't be this Maya (Moore) or Stewie (Breanna Stewart) November where she's getting 30 (points) on some nights. I don't think it's going to be like that.”
Whether or not Auriemma is speaking candidly or has an ulterior motive with his comments remains to be seen, but Fudd will see plenty of time barring a major surprise. It’s also worth noting that the coach took the exact opposite approach when asked about a different freshman: Caroline Ducharme.
“She doesn't have a loud game but her quiet game is very efficient,” Auriemma said. “It's going to be interesting to see where she fits in because I can see her having a really prominent role on our team. What that means, I don't know. But she's sneaky good.”
