No, really. No October surprise, no October's Fools Day joke. UCONN's website already has the whole season up including tv info. 3 National over the air tv games, 2 Fox 1 ABC. As I feared the Bahamas tourney is on Flo sports. At least it's on. Sort of.

Thanks so incredibly much, Ken!!!
And now the annual question: for those outside its broadcasting range, how do we access SNY? IIRC (always a bad bet!), it was Fox-something via purchase of Hulu TV or YouTube

From UCONN's Website
Turns out I wouldn't have been able to go to the Creighton game anyway. I will be in Cancun. And SOB...I will miss four home games while in Cancun. If anyone is interested in one seat for the below games, let me know via PM. Fri., Feb. 4 BUTLER* Gampel Pavilion 7 p.m. Sun., Feb. 6 TENNESSEE XL Center Noon/1 p.m. (somehow I missed this when looking at the OOC schedule. This is a heartbreaker for me!) Wed., Feb. 9 VILLANOVA* XL Center 7 p.m. Fri., Feb. 11 DEPAUL* Gampel Pavilion 7 p.m.

Thanks so incredibly much, Ken!!! And now the annual question: for those outside its broadcasting range, how do we access SNY? IIRC (always a bad bet!), it was Fox-something via purchase of Hulu TV or YouTube Fox streaming worked with some annoying quirks. To get the stream, you need TV access to Fox Sports ... but you cannot actually get the game via regular TV. Similar experience with either the streaming website or the FoxSports App. Bugaboos: 1. Sometimes the stream would buffer a lot, so you would all tell me about a great play and I would see it up to a few minutes later 2. Sometimes, there wasn't a smooth stream and the video would paused for a few seconds ... every few seconds - but at least the audio was fine. When this happened, I had to shut the game (app or website) down and access the game again. Usually only needed once or twice per game. One game was about a million times! Once, the video hung altogether, but the same fix worked 3. Often, the game didn't show up in the Upcoming Events list until moments before the start time. If I kept my agita and heartrate in check, it always did show up in time for tipoff ... but not always before the intro 4. No Pregame. And as mentioned above, sometimes missed all or part of the intro 5. Halftime show ... about 50% of the time 6. Postgame ... probably intended to be never, but we sometimes got a treat for a few minutes until someone noticed that the game had ended. Once I got the whole thing 7. If you start during the game (which I almost always did - see above), you get the option of starting live or from the beginning. Sounds great, but beware! When the main stream ends, so does the replay, so you need to prioritize between catching the early minutes or the end game 8. Tools for skipping back or ahead were minimal, and buggy. Attempting to sneak in a replay of that last play during the commercial break often resulted in returning all the way to the beginning of the broadcast (game intro), and sometimes just kicked me out altogether for another restart of the stream asking for live. Jumping ahead never worked for me except all the way to live 9. It is a stream of a HD broadcast. No 4k, not enough flickers per second in refresh rate, so sometimes fast action like the ball in midair between Paige at one end and Christyn at the other get a bit fuzzy Despite all of this, I will eagerly join this way again this year.

Despite all of this, I will eagerly join this way again this year. Me, too! I just can't remember which of the 3 (?) Fox sports apps I need to access via either Hulu or YouTube TV. I'm thinking it's "Fox Now"? Given how far I'd have to drive to Storrs--and the fact my wife probably wouldn't let me go into the arena anyway--this is far cheaper. The only game I'm tempted to go to this year is the away (home, for me) game against Providence College. After the booster vax, I may consider this.

I watch our thread and the gameday and then watch the actual game a day or two later. Cheap and works.

I watch our thread and the gameday and then watch the actual game a day or two later. Cheap and works. Except that the SNY games are no longer on the replay site. Sigh. I get that the owners don't want to give them away for free, but they also provide us no method for getting those games. Makes me wonder if UCONN could negotiate replays into their next TV contract somehow.

I speculated that the delay was due to TV negotiations. There are still 2 games with no definite TV partner. The finals of the Paradise Island game and the Oregon game. I'm guessing that FOX or ESPN will pick up the former if it's UConn vs S Car. The game at Oregon may belong to the PAC12 and they may or may not offer it to a national network. The fact that these 2 games are still up in the air explains the delay to me.

YoutubeTV allows unlimited cloud storage of almost everything they show. The only exceptions are a few TCM movies.
