op 3: Nika, Christyn, Paige, Evina, Liv But this year it won't matter so much who starts, but rather how many minutes of the 200 each person gets...and there will be tons of ins and outs and mixing and matching!

I’ll go with option three until somebody prove themselves more worthy to replace one of the five. As a general rule Geno doesn’t like to start freshman unless their head and shoulders above everybody else. Sometimes Geno likes to play a better player as first player off the bench to mess with the other team. “No break for you!” Of course this year that could be any player who can be the first off the bench and not have any drop off, maybe even improve the quality on the floor depending on the opponent. As a fan, it is a good problem to have. For Geno too but he has to manage all that talent. I am glad THAT is not MY problem. It will be fun watching the genius work.
I can see him starting an entirely different five in each quarter, especially against our own conference cupcakes…which unlike some coaches we have no choice but to have on our menu.

Bueckers Williams Westbrook ONO Juhasz
Dorka is 6'5 , was all Big ten, and is a mobil offensive minded player that is certainly more polished than Edwards ( my second choice) I've never been a big fan of the 4 guard lineup.

I prefer this lineup myself, but I have ties to Nika...such a wonderful gutsy player. So that's why I went with 3: heart over head.

There are certainly other lineup options. Geno has a Garanimals lineup. The Huskies can be mixed and matched and swapped out and in and still go together. At least that is how it sounds at this point.

Thanks for renewing this swash! Okay, for the first game (I'm assuming we're talking about that only), it's the same starters as last year. After that, Geno will let the team itself see, both in games and in practice, what the best starting line-up will be. So, it'll happen more "naturally." I'm as confident about my prediction for the starting line-up as I was last year when I predicted Paige wouldn't start the first several games. I suspect you are the only UConn fan who will now admit to the prediction Paige doesnt start early in the year. Kudos to you.

Nika is one of my favorite players , and as we saw yesterday, she will get her PT. She is tough, and puts extreme pressure on the ball as soon as she enters the floor. No doubt in mind that she has the respect and confidence of the coaching staff and her teammates .

More comfortable. More thinking ahead. She's going to have a fine year.

A few observations: E played four positions in this game, mostly at Wing and Point, but as the PF for a fair bit and a little bit as the SG. She and Paige seemed to be alternating PG/W for a while Caroline looked like she can contribute - even without a single three Dorka was a bit out of control a couple of times, but clearly belongs. Better passer than I expected I'm still worried about Paige. Even when she came back in later, she didn't look good and was clearly feeling something amiss Took a while for Aaliyah to get going, but she looked better late than she did to end last season CW was not confident in the three. That's not what we want (neither does she) Amari was late everywhere. Each of her fouls were because she tried to reach instead of taking a step Azzi showed signs, but also looked like her billing ... "going to be great" more than great already. So the when-do-we-see-it-blossom timer is ticking. a game or two? half season? until the tournaments? next year?
