After Ashlyn Shade, of course, who is off the charts, once in a generation, etc. etc etc. Totally aware we're talking about someone starting 10th grade, and with "only" 33 offers so far (not from UConn...yet). Only ranked #9 on ESPN (but that's old and before the FIBA U-16 games), she's the "super-max" here (will take a few seconds to load; check out the video on her at the bottom of the screen): jrallstar.com/maxrecruit/maxrecruit-profile/?uid=113Also totally aware this is nonsense, but there's no chatter on our site for a couple of days...

Chatter, chatter, chatter. There Bulkey some chatter for you. I was hoping that the preseason news and rumors would have us busy by now, but no. Hard to account for it. Only activity seems to be recruit press by their teams and trainers. I do like Shade's size and skill set. Every guard we get cannot be #1 thought for a bit it has sure seemed like that.

Ah, crossed me up. I'm talking Shade and you are talking Olson. She's no slouch either and 6' 1" is good if the speed and footwork is there. I suspect it is in OOs case.

Took a bit for this to rattle around in my brain....
Olivia Olson, who started tenth grade this month, has at least 33 scholarship offers.
How many kids who are not the next "greatest thing" in high school athletics entering 10th grade have any scholarship offers? Her parents must be thrilled: they can cash in her college savings account.
I'm sure none of her classmates begrudge her; I'm sure they all admire and cheer for her, as they should. But, grumble, grumble, grumble, what it says about our world....
