And this is the difference in generations. Tina calls him Coach Auriemma. Nika calls him Coach Geno. I don't even want to think about what Paige calls him.

I think it also goes to his style of coaching. He has adjusted.

I can't help but smile, when I read this thread - I'm still tickled by the notion of a "Tina Charles double-double", where she scores something like 22 points with 11 boards... and six of the points and three of the boards are off her own misses! She's a great WNBA player, a great Husky, and a pretty neat human being.

Along with Taurasi my all time favorite UConn player. I have so much respect for how she tolerated and overcame the Auriemma abuse while struggling with injuries. I understand Auriemma's motivation in riding her but some times he went too far. To her credit she rose above it.
