No, not whether it's okay to sleep with your first cousin.... Folks there are really struggling with the fact that Kara Lawson--whom they love--is coaching at Duke but remains on the Tenn Board of Trustees. It's pretty obvious there isn't a practical conflict of interest. Board members don't involve themselves in the specifics of the athletic department. And other college boards often have faculty, and even presidents!, from different universities. No one accuses them of possibly sabotaging the university on whose board they sit. Still, the nature of competitive sports is such that a lot of folks over there, despite their affection for her, are understandably uncomfortable. Rebecca is on the UConn board and yet works for ESPN. Would that be considered a potential conflict of interest? Maybe, but any board member who represents a company that can do business with that university--and there are lots and lots of those on college boards everywhere--has the same potential conflict. Silly stuff. But it shows how unscrutinized still are the hallowed halls of academe.... Now, if Kara were teaching critical race theory....

Tennessee fans are worried about ethics? When many within their fan base continues to spew lies about handbooks and french fries and other assorted recruiting violation falsehoods? That is rich.
