So it's going to be a binary, a Cold War, between the SEC and everyone else.
Tuesday's announcement included mention of a scheduling alliance in football, women's basketball and men's basketball, which will go into effect "as soon as practical" based on existing contracts.
I wonder if this will make it harder for UConn to schedule OOC games with these leagues, who might need to give priority to scheduling OOC within their larger alliance.
In any case, UConn is certainly one of the most significant odd-men-out. Damn football....

I've heard some write and say that one thing that could arise from this is a cold war between alliance members and the SEC which could result in teams refusing to play SEC teams. If that's what eventually happens UCONN may end up playing more SEC teams.

My guess is that this is just an attempt to stop the SEC from dictating the playoff rules. Maybe the B1G10 and PAC12 Networks will merge? I'd like that if it meant I could get the stream.

The PAC12 network is rather weak. Such a merger would depend primarily on how the Big 10 would gain financially. Don't see the benefit.
