Whether or not they win anything the 2022 backcourt will be the most heralded group in history.
Westbrook - #2 recruit Williams - #1 recruit Bueckers - #1 recruit Fudd - #1 recruit
plus 2 relatively unnoticed recruits who would start on most teams.
Mühl Ducharme
That's an unbelievable backcourt. All six have the talent to be 1st round draftees. Two of them may be No. 1 draft picks. Any team that has/had 2 senior guards as good as Westbrook/Williams would be scrambling after they leave but with Bueckers & Fudd Geno won't lose any sleep.

To paraphrase JFK hosting the Nobel Laureates at the White House for dinner...
The most talented backcourt ever except when Dee was out there alone....

Pick any two from the top five in Storrs and they're better than the best SCar can put out there. Any of our top five would start there from day one if they arrived today, and none of theirs would be likely to make it into the UCONN key-minutes rotation.

In fairness this may have been the SCar publicity office posting the "Best" and not Dawn. But they failed to report that when The Phoenix Club's final 5 was announced neither of the gamecock guards was on it. (Clark won the award)
For a guard as good and accomplished as Staley was as a player she really hasn't been able to attract a truly elite level guard to Columbia. Maybe that has to do with the SEC style of play. Ark was good enough to beat UConn and Baylor at home and yet lost 10 games away. Their guard offense didn't work when officials allowed the home team to set the contact level. Question: How many 1st team AA guards has the SEC produced in the last 10 years? I didn't consider Howard a guard at Kentucky. Dawn has 2 highly rated freshmen guards so maybe things will change.
